Harry, having been around for donkey's years, his name has popped up whenever there has been a bit of a scandal in football, involving dodgy dealings. Yet he has seemed to melt into the shadows at just the right time. This has appeared to happen so many times that, in the back of my mind, there has begun the seed of a thought that Harry could possibly be as clean as the proverbial whistle, and all that has attached him to scandal is just hearsay and his barrow-boy manner. ;)

Or is he just the world's greatest slippery eel.?

Redknapp betting thing is pretty lame.

He doesn't take much part in the conversation, he didn't bet on the game himself. In fact, the one thing he says is that he didn't know that the players had made a bet. I suppose he should have reported it, but I can't get too worked up over it. What if he found out days or months later and never knew the full details of exactly who had bet?

And if the game in question was clearly named on that video along with possibly some player names then why is it all bleeped out? Name the players, they're the ones who actually cheated. Redknapp merely failed to report cheating.

The man has never met a penny-ante scheme that he could resist.

Turns out Allardyce might face a ban from football. We'll see if the Old Pal's Act is still in force. My guess is they'll fine him, which won't hurt too much. They won't take away his liberty to earn in the UK, even though they probably should: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37526465

BFS got £1M payoff from FA so I don't think any fine is going to hurt. Probably neither a ban.

Not exactly big news, anyone who thinks that millionaires aren't advised how to pay less tax by their accountants is very misinformed.

It is of HMRC are really advising them! I'd expect their accountants to do that.

No one is obliged to pay more tax than the rules allow...it is legal to arrange your affairs to reduce your tax liability. If HMRC (or equivalent) aren't happy, it is up the Government to move the goal posts. I'm just delighted that so much lovely football money finds its way to the Exchequer....I'm more cross about multinationals that are able to get round our system and pay next to nothing.

So, is there a story brewing tonight, or have we come to an end of the revelations?

On a very tiny scale, a nice man at the HMRC advised me how to reduce my tax when I was free lance.

It's deader than a dead thing, after Sam went Eric and Jimmy Floyd were all they had. Up to the DT to release full details now otherwise neither of them are going anywhere...

Have the "8" managed to get their "superinjunction" way? What happened to that "coming soon" message?

And if they have then will the Police end up doing the name dropping in partnership with the CPS once they've sifted through the evidence provided by the telegraph.
