Hi All High class racing from Leopardstown today though the ground's much quicker than usual. Beef's Banker- Quito de la Roque 2.35 Leopardstown Will win this and become a 7-1 Gold Cup shot after today. It worries me backing against Rubi Light who I respect a lot and the drying ground will help his chances of staying. However Leopardstown is a stayers track and last season's top staying chaser QDLR will relish the long run in and will challenge at the last and win going away. 1.25 Leopardstown First Lieutenant NB Will like the ground and granted he has recovered from his 'bad day at the office' LTO will have too much finishing kick for Last Installment. 2.00 Leopardstown Mourad Outstays the mare and wins. If you like put the 2 Gigginstown Stud horses in a double- it pays around 8-1.
Come on then First Lieutenant get back to winning ways http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/american_football/16346855.stm pure class touchdown
I'm on Last Instalment but have a horrible feeling I should be on First Lieutenant ......................
I've took a chance on Last Instalment, the form of the second behind him LTO wazs decent, 7L behind Sir Des Champs, who I think will go very close in the RSA 11/4 is fair value
Get in Last Instalment . His jumping won him that - took a length out of them at every fence, what a marvellous sight. Good ride by O'Connel as well.
MinisterofInterior faced a stiff task behind RAYA STAR last time and if coming on for reappearance, might be value at 15/2 at Leicester.
RV, wish I could have put them up earlier but I'm just backing as I see, no big stakes or anything though, just sensible
Dog Barrell Hill - what a marvellous name for a horse. Sounds like the kind of place you wouldn't find Sir Barney visiting
I've had a bet on Bygones Sovereign i the 2.0 at Leicester, the way he shaped last start when winning a bumper suggested that 2 and a half miles would suit and at 15/2 might rate a bit of value against the strong Alan King favourite.
VLV for me as well. Mourad obviously will relish step up in distance but if VLV stays there is no reason for comfortable victory over Mourad lto to be reversed
I thought Mourad would come on for his reappearance and rteverse with VLV, the ground ought to help having run well behind Big Bucks and Quevega last spring on dry enough ground.
