Well done RV how the hell did that go off 100-30? I can't bet from work anymore, we have a new internet filter installed I also forgot to back Ron in the Huntingdon bumper, fecking thing is 16s now, I just know its gonna win
redcgull Hope Australia Day can win here - not a betting proposition at those odds but I love this horse to bits
Sounds like he clouted 2 out .................. always heart in the mouth time with him, especially at those odds
I fancy Spectait 7/1 to run a big race in the 3.20 at Huntingdon. Although he is now 9, he is conisstently running really solid races on the flat off handicap marks in the mid 80s so for me his ability is fully in tact. He hasn't run over hurdles for a couple of years, but he possesses the ability to account for this field if he jumps cleanly. A mark of 109 I think might have him anywhere between 6-12lb ahead of the handicapper if he pulls a performance fully together over hurdles. AP in the saddle.
Did he ping a few again today Hardy? Love the way he stood off last time at Kempton. I'm hoping the ground will stay good for him a little longer, maybe get to the Henry VIII at Sandown with him?
he jumped most of them quite well, stood off a couple and got in close once but getting in close he was clever and quite to sort himself out. won as he liked.
Guys how do you feel about the 'Under The Spotlight' thread? In the first 4 episodes, I have covered 2 fully fledged chasers in Quito De La Roque and Time For Rupert, and two converted/coverting chasers in Cue Card and Peddlers Cross. I know a couple of folks have mentioned they would like a couple of hurdlers discussed, and I am compiling some ideas right now, particularly looking to find some challengers to Hurricane Fly's crown as Champion Hurdler. However, it's a little tricky at the moment in terms of timing, as we are still waiting on some of the smarter hurdlers to make their returns, and also it is the Paddy Power Gold Cup on Saturday. I am thinking of publishing Episode 5 on Sunday morning, giving me the opportunity to choose the right horse to discuss based on the result of the PP Gold Cup, which gives us a decent early coverage of top-level chasing so far this season. I will then switch the focus to a top hurdler in Episode 6. Does that sound reasonable?
