Am I right in saying Peddlers Cross and Al Ferof make their chase debuts very soon? I cant remember the date but thought it was this week?

Zenyatta, I’ll whisper this one, Barbers Shop might win at the Cheltenham Festival in March. He’s set for an ‘outside the box’ campaign. Don't forget that at his peak he was a real 'top table' performer rated in the very high 150's and placed in the Jewson's, Paddy Power Gold Cup, Hennessy and King George VI.

TC, think that clash is tomorrow at Bangor-On-Dee.

Supposed to be tomorrow Toppy at Bangor but Al Ferof has not been declared. Peddlers faces just 3 rivals, not sure who they are yet but i imagine he will be a very warm order to oblige at his first attempt over the big ones.

Sir Barney, will they be eyeing up a run in the Pertemps, or some other 'left of field' target?

Apparently Al Ferof goes to Cheltenham on Sunday instead. There could well be a couple of cracking Novice chases at the Open meeting with Cue Card/Champion Court/Grand Crus all set to clash in the 2m4f race. And a few of those holding entries in the 2m version too.

    Should be very informative.

    Morning all

very sad to hear about Joe Frazier passing away from liver cancer. Terrible news R.I.P.

In regards to Al Ferof he was not declared because Ruby is banned and Nicholls wants Ruby to ride him. Think he runs at Cheltenham on Sunday now <ok>. Cracking novice chase on friday if all the following turn up Cue Card, Mossley, Grand Crus and Restless Harry

Surprised that Al Ferof has swerved the race after connections had talked it up a little while back. Mr Nicholls has won that Cheltenham race with both Azertyiuop and Tataniano so he knows what it takes to win that one. Agree that the big novice chase battle of the week now must be Grands Crus v Cue Card v Mr Henderson’s Mossley on Friday.

A Foxhunters campaign is planned for BS. He’s pretty much handicapped out of the more conventional races these days, and no longer good enough for Graded races, so they have to try something ‘different’.

SBC he hasn't swerved the race he said he would be willing to take on Peddlers Cross he just wants Ruby to ride him first time over fences <ok>

Very interesting Sir Barney. On some of his form he must surely hold every chance of delivering a Cheltenham victory for Her Majesty in that heat. Who is the lucky amateur getting the leg-up?

Understandable that Nicholls wants Ruby on Al Ferof, and i suspect it might be more a case of John Hales wants Ruby on anyway. Should be some superb racing over the weekend. Really looking forward to it.

Glad that others spotted "Ron" running at Huntingdon today!

Any other runner/poster connections spotted of late?

Yep, sorry RV, wrong choice of words. Swerving was a bit harsh.

Zenyatta, don’t know to be honest. I would say SWC but the Foxhunters is the race after the CGC so would Mr Henderson want to burden him with 2 top rides so close together should both Long Run and Barbers Shop arrive at Cheltenham healthy? Would imagine he could have his pick of top amateurs so Nina Carberry would be another possible.

The Pipe's have a horse named after me - Barney Cool. Although last time out he was beaten out of sight when a very short priced fave.

SWC is the obvious one but he is very likely to have a horse to ride under the ownership of his Father in the race. I would think it highly unlikely that he would be available to ride anything else. Being from a pointing background i know that the Waley-Cohens are extremely keen to add the Cheltenham Foxhunters to their burgeoning CV.

Not sure why Adobe Reader is giving that message when accessing the site Oddy. Didn't realise Adobe reader was required to access the site.

Have you tried various ways of accessing the site. I always go directly into the HR or Wycombe forum via icons on the desktop. Have you tried Googling Not606 and going in from there?

If you are still getting the message I'll ask around for some techie advice.

That's what I was beginning to think Oddy. Does it happen when you try to access any other site?

I had the same message last night, before my antivirus software got rid of a trojan. Worth feeding back to the management Ron.

Morning all gents... I hope we are all well... A few that i like today but mainly a watching brief today me thinks...
Id like to see how Zennor goes at Lingfield in the opener, currently 5/1... I fancy Kilvergen Boy, 7/4 to take the 2nd race there. And Amuse Me in the 3.40 has a good chance also, thats at 8/1

A bit of a mixed bag at Huntingdon but Quanah Parker could take the 2.20, currently 6/1...

Sedgefield has a few that i might play on, but not with total conviction... Flint Bay in the 2.00 looks the winner in that one... With Gavroche Gaugin, nap, getting a 7lb claimer on his back from Tony Kelly i fancy him to be there for a nice little win at 8/1 in th 2.30... Stand Clear and Well Oiled make up the others that i fancy at Sedgefield...

Good luck to all who play today... <ok>
