Is that what the best of British football has become?If any other team other than Chelsea had played so negatively over 2 legs,they would be slagged off till kingdom come. Bad night for European football.
They can't legitimately take away Newcastles possible CL spot though can they? I'd have thought Chelsea could be arranged to have a qualifier or something. I hope common sense prevails if it does occur with a Newcastle 4th/Chelsea CL Winners combination.
UEFA have already made it clear Toppy if Chelsea win the CL and finish outside the top 4 they get a place and the 4th team in prem league drops in to UEFA cup.
My understanding is that only four teams qualify...if Chelsea finish fifth in the PL and win the CL then the fourth place team won't make it. Chelsea might struggle to field a team in the final.
Dex and RV are correct they made that rule when Liverpool won the CL and finished 5th. As good as Chelsea were this is a nightmare for RV and me!
I sympathise lads. I wanted Barcelona to win so they would be distracted from the Copa Del Rey final against us on the 25th of May...no other reason. Hope BM beat RM tomorrow.

Gotta laugh at Geoff Shreeves in the post match interview with Ivanovic...before the congrats he asked him did he know he was suspended for the final,which the player clearly didn't,and then informed him he definitely was. What a s*ithouse..
Most of the I would be but screw the money. All I care about is the well being of Mossey. Only after seeing the race now and he ran extremely well considering he probably lost a few lenghts at every jump as well as clouting a fence before his untimely demise. Throw in it was his return from injury against a race fit Sir Des Champs and you couldn't have asked for more. I just hope that is not the last we see of him on the track.
