Winkworth retired from training. John Wade is the obvious one, thanks for that, he is a real stalwart of the Northern NH game isn't he?

Trifolium - Good 3rd in the Supreme and should handle the ground.
Alderwood - Progressive but might prefer better ground.
Midnight Game - Well touted but has been disappointing. Supposed to want good ground.
Simenon - Well behind Trifolium at Punchestown and in the Supreme. Might be open to bettet.
Laganbank - Looks out of his depth here.

Conclusion - Disappointing race. Keep your money in your pocket. <laugh>

Hold on, I might be wrong: 'He is very adaptable in terms of ground' Tom Mullins on Alderwood. <laugh>

It's the type of turnout I'd expect when Frankel runs not the Supreme third. Do these owners not want prize money?

Some ride from AP and what a game horse Alderwood is.

Trifolium might be the horse to take from the race because he travelled really well, quickened to knick a few lengths but then weakened. He was impressive but disappointing at the same time.

I don't think I'll be backing anything from the Supreme to oblige in the Champion Hurdle next season. Cinders And Ashes is probably the best of them but even he looks to have a good bit to find. Darlan was a good winner at Aintree but didn't beat anything.

5.00 Fluctuation. Course form and I think he should just have the edge on Mcconnel, Reverse Forecast too.
