RV console yourself with the fact that at least yous got 35 million pound from us for that big, overgrown lout masquerading as a 'striker'. Do yous want him back at all? I'm sure he's still worth at least 1 million pound out of that 35 we paid <grr>

The amount of home draws we've been wracking up will be costly come the end of the season. Mind you we'll still finish ahead of the Toon :bandit:

Do you think him and Torres have much in common <laugh> Can't wait for Cheltenham nect weekend... Mon Parrian or if your friend Mr Nolan (how come he never gets that title on here, you were slightly 'unfriendly' about his cultural background here..) confirms Noble Prince that's what I'd be backing at this stage.

<rofl> I like Nolan really just annoyed me when his novice hurdler had the bumper form to win and was tailed off. And then his big galoot of a horse beats Cooldine. Gypsy crook. Big fan of Noble Prince myself and I will be backing the same two <ok>

Joncol is a big fella ain't he?! The extra 10lbs he was carrying would make the same amount of difference to him as a bar of Mars in my pocket would make to my athletic prowess

Yepp monster. His brother or half brother can't remember (Seafield) was a monster as well. Looked a nice sort at one point but his form has tailed off now shame.

Oddy will be a clinker and should certainly assist in our Arkle debates! My initial thoughts would be Peddlers in this one though I'll borrow SBC 'no bet banner' and simply watch how they both jump <ok>

Oddy no news since last season when he was ruled out at about this stage for the year... You'd have to seriously wonder even should he return how much of his talent remains... Christ if he hadn't a injured himself in that 2010 Champion you'd just wonder whether Bino would of got his crown at all, for Go Native was a serious horse that year and unlike most of Meades he'd aleady won at the festival.

Yeah I backed him in the Christmas Hurdle that year and my jaw literally hit the floor when he just went past them on the bit coming to the last. Probably idled a bit in front and in the end nearly threw it away but golly was he impressive.

Was squeaky bum that's for sure as Starluck was really gaining in the end I remember! Meade trains his horses so that they have bundles of natural speed but then when push comes to shove they sometimes look to have little left

Didn't realised he trained them like that. Thought it was Carberry who liked posing (although I think Condon was on board that day)

I assume that Oddy, he hasn't personally shared his training secrets with me yet <laugh> But all his (better) horses generally travel like the best horse in a race and his success with two mile hurdlers tell me that he trains them to be able to demonstrate the speed of, say a 14f, horse who'll then clearly be able to cruise around in a 2 mile race.
