4.00 Ayr - Khandaq (ew if a decent price is still available - was 16's this morning down to 8/9's now)

Back on firm ground which should suit. Rivals dont appear to be up to much.

Also doing it in a rev f/c with Swinbanks which won FTO

    :)

This is a bloody hard thing for an Australian to admit, but England are one hell of a cricket team. I don't think I've seen a better pom outfit in 30 years. You've waited a long time, so enjoy, you've earned it.

  8. Aye your not wrong Cyc, im sure the Aussies will come back stronger for the next Ashes series. My local county club Durham have a decent Aussie type in Mitch Claydon surprised he hasnt been called up yet, hes a decent opening bowler not an out and out quickie similar type to Glenn McGrath.

Like the look of Cecils horse in the opener tomorrow but Gunner Lindley at 33s getting his required gd/soft ground is massively over priced at 33s!

That's my 2 against the field in the 200 Goodwood :smiley-finger007:

    Regal Tramp 16/1

Put this up the last three and first two times it was absolutely smashed off the boards from 18s into and SP of 13/2 before finishing a disappointing 4th the first day, and from 20s into 8s twice back, another severe disappointment. However, the form of the 1st race looks terrific. The 2nd has come out again to win by 3 1/2L to the 5th in that race Tempelton, who finished 1L behind Regal Tramp LTO. The 3rd finished in the same position beaten by a narrow 1.5L margin NTO so this looks a well above average race.

Regal Tramp came from the same debut race as Orafinitis, finishing a neck behind that day. This race has worked out to be a terrific maiden. Irish Guineas winner and absolute smasher of of Midday Misty for Me rated - 126, Katla – winner off a listed race of 105, Why - 94 and the 8th horse Tell the Wind, who finished behind tomorrows selection, a winner off 76 and now rated 90.The decent claimer Sam James is booked for trainer Vincent Ward.

Although Regal Tramp has vastly underperformed his first two outings this year, he finally showed the promise of his first race and the clear reason there was so much money around for him when finishing a staying on 3L 3rd to Why but Why over 1m 2f at Fairyhouse. He finished just ahead of todays favourite Lovers Peace with the swing in the weights the same as it was that day. So on that alone it is clear to me that Regal Tramp is much better value. He was staying on quite nicely that day under todays rider Sam James, and looked as if a step up in trip would. Regal Tramp ran on Friday at Down Royal where he finished 5.5L behind the winner Trans City. It is possible that he had that run to get him spot on for today.

Although this is not a selection worthy of a big bet, I still believe he has demonstrated that he has the talent in his locker to go close tonight. Although the hill catches out many at Galway and he has never stayed this far before, I believe this step up in trip will be ideal. Ward’s horses have been in good form recently and if Regal Tramp is spot on after his run on Friday he could definitely play a hand in the finish

A nice Barney Curley plot to finish the day at Uttoxeter - Me Fein off a mark of 72 - last 4 races tailed off since running 23L behind Gibb River, mark gone down from 92 to 72 over 4 races. Currently 11-4 fav
