Ceeto, her form's nothing special- like the rest of these.
My fancy wouldbe CP Joe who ran well against his elders at this trip- after fading over 14-16 furlongs.

If you back in euros at (eg) York, do you get paid out in euros (assuming you win), or do they apply an exchange rate?

nah you take back sterling and your betting slip will be sterling. so basically they'll give you a crummy rate on exchange+take your bet. (from my experience)

Can confirm the bookies accept Euros / Sterling / pretty much anything at Down Royal <laugh>

Dexter, be prepared to do plenty of pushing and shoving as tomorrow draws a bumper crowd. I normally go myself every year and can confirm it is pretty busy queuing for beer, even toilets etc. Mind you Kauto Star was in town a couple of times and by the crowds around the parade paddock for him, a few thousand were simply taking their chance the see the big man! I'm not going tommorow unfortunately but have a good time! In the big one I'm thinking Quito...:undecided: Would been keen on the Nightingale ('hosed' up last year Oddy!) but some of Nicholls big guns not at their best yet...

Zen, yeah I agree largely with everything you said. In my post I was actually meaning in Irish hurdle races, both The Real Article and Oscars Well will play a leading role in. Of course they have it all to do with the Hurricane but someone needs to be second to him

I wouldn't rule out the Real Article though as he is very much a better horse on better ground. I was really concerned by the heavy going today, he has a real quick ground action the way he floats along the turf. He'd be more of an outside Champion Hurdle hope than Oscars IMO. Oscars would have loved the ground more the TRA today and will do well in softer ground races in Ireland. Two miles may be Oscar's minimum trip also.
