this is an interesting statement leave out the teams that are PP and jiggled the stadium /equity route and it leaves a group of teams that were basically unable to do what the teams with a preconcept of achieving something.....
take Luton, Blackpool and Coventry all did well ..to a point from a forced upon "same squad" .. so had a settled team [ as did a few others who couldnt/wouldnt spend ]

Hindsight says Fammy went .. had he stayed would have cost us his wages but Simpson was likely to have been on something like his? ..but allowed AW to flourish! would we sell him for £8m? +
Biggest error was Patto .. NP admisson couldnt really assess him because had been injured ,, Swansea was offered over £1m 4 months after leaving us!....

Will we make similar [ NP] that is regarding T-M & Bakinson?

I was disappointed when Pato left, but the situation seemed logical at the time; he was out of contract so we let him go in order to free up wages........
..... EXCEPT - then we go and sign Simpson - on (probably) MORE wages than Pato would have been on had he stayed. Bizarre to say the least and yet another example of the crazy way our club is STILL being run, despite Ashton having exited left.....

As for NP not being able to assess Pato because of him being injured - what a feeble and pathetic excuse. If NP had REALLY wanted to assess him he would have looked at video footage of him playing before his injury to see what he was capable of.
I believe that either NP didn't care about keeping Pato, or the decision had already been taken by the board to let him go.

He had no choice it was a case of moving him of the wage bill and it was a easy move being out of contract

NP'S SOLE DECISION he had to cut wages to bring in "who he did" and reduce the wage bill .. wage bill ended up not much less, and at least 1 or 2 players would have been to our benefit........ i think NP acknowledged he had erred regarding Patto

WHAT A LOT OF COBBLERS ..... FLW not the best of publications! but always worth a gander! They get a lot wrong, use other publications to get info then re invent it! Anyone on here could put together a top 10 and it would be more realistic...

    SO .
    .. WHO IS 1 -2 - 3 ON YOUR LIST?

    AS ... £12m
    HNM ... £9m

It’s all academic , a player is only worth what some other team are prepared to pay. I would imagine Semenyo is our most valuable asset purely because of his age and obviously he’s a striker, HNM probably next due again to age and games played at championship level, Scott with a bit more experience, providing he keeps improving will possibly fall somewhere between the two next year.

HNM if he doesn’t sign a new contract, will be sold this year to the highest bidder, before his contract runs out next year.

    I know WHY it happened
But we promptly replaced him with the more expensive dud Simpson.

And that decision was NP’s, who he had 3 months prior to offering him the year deal.

I'm sure I read this on here a couple of months ago? What he did at Leicester was great, but it's in the past. It's the here and now that counts for me.

Of course, but it does provide an insight to his man management skills, with any manager in any walk of life a manager can only get from people what they are prepared to give, which seems to back up his suggestion that some of our players are happy just ticking along.

If we want to progress as a club we need players that aren’t just happy to take a wage, but want to improve and progress, as individuals and as a team. If we don’t have that type of players no amount of changing managers will change anything.
