We have Kalas, Naismith, Klose and Atkinson as central defenders.
I'd have thought a decent striker is far more important than a central defender with Semenyo's injury.

I think getting a "decent" striker won't happen tbh. Any striker will come knowing once he's fully fit, that AS and AW are the no1 strike partnership, so the new striker is competing with CM for the backup. Not that enticing for anyone, and I think Wells can do that job, but I do agree we need someone else in if Wells does go.

Think you're right about competing with Martin, however at his age he won't be up to playing every week. Injuries and suspensions also plays into the equation.
Semenyo might not be available till Christmas, almost half the season, so I still think overall we need another striker more than we need a central defender.

Florest were "interested in Semenyo? .. just bought a German player for £17m ... usually EU players are cheaper??....
Bakinson another player that has lost his way ... Taylor Moore ..... Palmer recent ones!
.... sometimes when you sit back and look at trends they point to similar quirks [ for lack of a better word ] .. I find it quite interesting how BCFC seems to have a lot of players that adopt a "attitude" [ how it is reported ] ... Bakinson was doing quite well and suddenly like snapping a pencil he has found the waste bin ... been discarded usually it is players that show quite a lot .... then fall foul ...
We let ELIASON go and struggled for crosses into the box from the wings, ... .............................

Martin is also a good player for a youngster to learn his trade from.

The season over there runs Feb to October. So he will get match fitness and a mini break before meeting up with Wales for the WC

usually a place to go to pick up a few bucks to add to the retirement pot, in case he hasnt quite got enough probably needs £400m ... only got £300m after WORLD CUP will come back and buy Cardiff ....

    @BristolCity
a more solid football club-this type of appointment should have happened years and years ago.

It is very confusing when so many highly rated players do a bit go on loan and after a "failed season/ half season" back at the gate are deemed cr**. Should NP's style and attitude workout and we get promoted to the prem if only for 1 season then it is an experiment that worked [ sort of ] Should we fail to finish above 8th [ with quite a bit of time in top 6 ] then it is a failure, especially should we finish 13th or lower.

I usually do a end of season table .[ last season hardly anyone was brave enough to enter, although I jot down who says where they think City might finish, there was a lack of support to their pre season forcast indeed some were in denial! ] but not this season unless people put up who they think might be end of season top 12 -24. I will run my prediction algorythm [ done it twice and looks fair but 3 times more! ]

CURRENTLY no particular order!!! top 8
    Burnley
    Blackburn
    Middsbro
    Norwich
    Huddersfield
    QPR
    Watford
    WBA

    Tie for 9th
    Sheff U
    Sunderland
    Stoke

    tie for 12th
    Swansea
    Cardiff
    Coventry
    Millwall

    16th
    BCFC

    tie 17th
    BPool
    Reading

    6 rest at bottom
