I noticed that HNM did not get any game time today and I wonder if that is indicative that he is on his way and couldn't risk injury. My jury has been out on him for some time now and I don't think we lose anything by his departure especially if we can get a reasonable fee. There has to be players out there that can do the sort of things that HNM tries to bring to the table but frankly we need better end results than have been the case. Interesting summer ahead and after watching the you-tube link I think I actually saw a team effort beyond anything seen all season and the camaraderie was very evident and that's what we need to keep going for the next campaign.

Messaengo is the one player we can loose-we need to keep the three strikers together.

Regrettably I think Semenyo will get way more likes than HNM and although I was luke warm on Antoine when he first arrived his ability has really come to the fore in the second half of this season and to lose him might be a crucial loss. Many others know they are on the cusp of departure and NP has his hands full to get a real proper job done but I have this itch that tells me he will. Bring it on.

No disputing he has under performed. Not sure what his wage is to be classed as overpaid? I know COVID has knocked out finances for six, but, we have to remember that Championship standard players (whether they perform or not) do not come that cheaply and are a financial reality of being a Championship club. If we want to get back to competing for the play-offs as we were a few seasons ago, again that will cost more ( in fees and player wages), that is the reality.

So after all that, it turns out Matty James is our highest paid player! Which probably explains why NP didn’t bring in any more players in the summer as he busted the budget on James. I also note that Wells isn’t on anywhere near what some were quoting on here.

Basically none of the wages websites can be trusted.
We don’t know who is paid what.

We have no idea really what the exact figures are. I don’t think we’d be far out on who the top earners are, but not what they are on.

I would take it with a big pinch of salt.

What I WILL say though is that I've defended LJ in the past for the WAGES of some of his signings because, although I can't prove it, I strongly believe that the Manager/Head Coach (whatever) would not have negotiated remuneration with the various players' agents - that would have been Ashton's job.

In this particular case - if by some miracle it turns out to be true - I will also defend Nige - for the very same reason. I can't imagine that NP would have negotiated any players salary personally - that isn't the Head Coach's job.
IF we are paying anywhere near those wages, the blame should rest with the suits upstairs who control (!!!) our budget. The manager may WANT a player, then it's over to the suits to either land him or not and agree terms & conditions.

    Source?
I've seen people choose to believe the Wells and Palmer figures on the internet, but dismiss all the others as 'made up'.
Either ALL the figures are reliable (which they aren't) - or they are ALL unreliable (more likely)

I suspect Wells and Palmer are on loads - but we don't know how much and we don't know how much the others are on by comparison either. People just pick out Wells and Palmer as a stick to beat the former regime with.
