No one can ever second guess the British media when it comes to putting spin on what you say. A lot of foreign managers and players get caught out. Not saying Ron isn't interested in another club eventually, but he wouldn't announce it in the press. He would call Hiddink direct and keep his own counsel. This is just Ron musing.

Well, I have no expectation of our keeping Ron after his contract's up, so I'm not remotely bothered by this. We'll have a new manager at some point in the next 18 months and we'll probably feel he's the best thing since sliced bread. If he doesn't go I'll be delighted and if he does go I'll be delighted.

Ron said that Les has a list of prospective Saints' managers in his right hand drawer, but won't let him see it. :)

What the mirror didn't realise is that Ron was holding up a smilie as he said it. Clearly a joke.

    *no smilie*

You have come upon the very answer.....a series of paddles that Ron could hold up at appropriate moments. As in: van Gaal is fat and ugly and a useless manager :)

I said in a post a while ago , if RK has no intention of extending his contract , I hope he lets the board know quietly & well in advance , so we can start looking in good time .

That is the only problem I had with Poch when he left .

Unnecessary. He was on Twitter on giving his opinion with limited characters. If Ron is asked would he like to manage Chelsea it's unlikely he would say no. No panic yet.

Some of you need to calm down. Ron said it, we all know how the press will handle it. Adam is just giving his view and is doing nothing wrong.

Ron yet again is being very naive with what he says to the media.

So, they learnt 5 things about today's match, all, funnily enough, about Man United. Shock.

    Oh, and this negative:

    5. Mane proves his worth
Saido Mane remains on United's radar, and the £25million-rated Southampton forward showed just why, with an impressive, belligerent attacking display, characterised by clever movement and some fine touches. Mane should have scored in the first-half, when he combined superbly with Dusan Tadic, but was unlucky with the bounce of the ball. He was, for an hour, the liveliest and most threatening attacking player on the pitch and could not have performed better on his Old Trafford audition.

Not sure what game they were watching, but would be nice if they weren't trying to sell him for us.

Mane this season has shown that he is not ready for this supposed big move.

His end product has been no where near good enough. I was expecting big things from Mane this season, but it's not happened for him.
No fault on his attitude or energy levels. Just that composure and bit of quality in the final third is lacking

It was mentioned on Sky that players such as Wanyama turn out good performances against teams interested in them....they should be playing like that every game. Charlie said Koeman needs to sort that. May be true, but may also be true that players like Wanyama and Mane can't play like that every week....which is what is discovered when teams buy them.

He has his moments. However, he's the first BBC sports editor in living memory who appears to be a fan of the team he has responsibility for reporting on. That's rare. And there have been a lot lot worse than him over the years. I offer up Tony Husband as a candidate, for example.
