I reckon Adrian Durham and the Daily Heil are made for each other and as for the aforementioned person, football fans should not listen to his radio show and definitely do not ring in and soon this piece of dogdirt will end up in the gutter where he belongs.
It was and is still a ridiculously stupid thing to do, attacking managers, it was inevitable he was going back into football as soon as a top position opened up. Pulis didn't take time out to slag other managers off, it's just bad practice in my opinion. I'm not saying it should bother you, just don't be surprised to see farcical stories finding their way into tabloids like this.
http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/12/0...special-sunderland-goal-against-stoke/page/1/ That one's a fantastic read - especially the part which says: "It was a special moment as he scored his first goal at the Stadium of Light, and Watmore is hoping it will help his side build some momentum going forward." (Guessing the other two he scored this season have been taken off him by the dubious goals committee??
Wooed by results - damn right! However, I enjoyed every minute of the Stoke game and I thought we were thoroughly entertaining. The so-called journo has no idea what Sunderland fans want or what they're getting. What we're going to get is Premieship football next season so all the people who wrote us off after a couple of games can stick their predictions where it's least comfortable. December will be hard and we may drop back down if we're unlucky, but Sam's the man for this Sunderland fan - and there was once I never thought I'd be saying that.
Couldn't really give a flying @@@@ if all our points/wins are gained because the other team had a man sent off or made a defensive error. Couldn't care less.
Aren't we having considerably more ****s per game etc under Sam? Daft **** journo. I'll take ugly points over entertaining relegation football in a ****ing blink, ta. This bollocks about Allardyce, and remember he was far from my choice, but Bolton and later West Ham at times played smashing stuff, and he's often went after real flair players (admittedly not all have worked out). We are out of the bottom 3 and he's been here 6 weeks, **** of Daily Mail, I'm already ****ing delighted we we went for Sam, despite my pre-appointment reservations. I didn't see a way out this year we looked shot. It's hard to beat a team with 10, especially a very good supremely organised one like Stoke that can still murder you on break if you go at them.
Absolutely He lays foundation before he builds. What sense is there in trying to play football we simply aren't capable of? Sam is playing with the cards dealt and he's setting about making a poor to average squad tough to beat and capable of picking up points. He has one goal this season, stay up. He's going about it very well. If we stay up then he can start building and developing a new Sunderland style of play. It's a 'Needs must when the devil vomits into your kettle' situation. We know that, Sam knows that and Short knows that. The Fail and Durham are on a different planet. Now there's a suprise
Durham is a prize ringpiece, I ignore everything he says...............his schtick is always the same, say something controversial, get a reaction, sell papers/get listeners............well f*ck that for a game of soldiers, I'd rather have root canal treatment. He makes me think of that line in paranoid android...." when I am King you will be first against the wall"
After the absolute ****e we've had over the years, the feeling of getting 3 points at the end of the match more than makes up for the way the match was played if it was "long ball and boring". ****, watching Poyets tippy tappy football that comes to nothing, always passing back to the keeper was enough to make me want to switch off the telly, and more often than not we ended up losing or going 8 games in a row 0-0. Nope, im happy with Big Sam. He's the man we need for this job. West Ham were doing alright with him at the helm, which of us wouldn't have loved to have been where they were last year?? Im with you Billy, I enjoyed the Stoke game, it wasn't boring, only thing I didn't like was slowing down the tempo after they had a man off. But Sam fixed that by bringing on Johnno. Good tactics, and a win. Im more than happy
Adrian Durham never misses an opportunity to slate us on talksport radio, so this does not surprise me in the least.
He's always fair to us fans but loves having a go at the players. He hates Arsenal and Wenger with a passion though
None of those teams have got a Watmore type player, who is to me as good as Vardy, Johnson can be world class, Pants one of the best goal keepers in the premier league, surely we will finish about 10th, with the addition of a defender and left winger. As for the entertainment talk, we need to grind out results first then when we are nearly safe start playing exiting football.
Guessing you never heard him call us the most over expectant bunch of fans for having a go at Wickham? Slated us fans about it and said he'd be better off at a different club where the supporters would give him more time! @Big Funk Allardyce ive added a reply to my own comment explaining it and calling the originator to accept his mistake rather than editing the article to make someone's comment pointless
