I think the best way to describe Anyinsah then was he was our x-factor he could do bring something to the table and it's a shame we didn't see enough of him

Regarding anyinsah are we confusing work ethic and effort with actual quality ?

I think we're confusing good with 'good compared with the other dross we've seen up front'... but agree entirely with the earlier posts re. BWP... it's not 89 minutes of nothing, it's 89 minutes of finding the right position and a few 10-second spells of being there and putting it in the net... that's the kind of striker you build a team around... see Darren Bent (non-England form!)

Guys, my point wasn't that I don't rate BWP, quite the opposite, I love the fact that he pops out of nowhere and scores, my point was simply that he isn't technically a great player (I.e not great at passing, not too strong, not very skillful, not great in the air etc) but as a STRIKER, he does his job (score goals).

This is contrary to my opinion of JJ, who in my opinion, cannot pass well, cannot take on the full back, not great at keeping possession, not great in the air, not so great at crossing etc, but he is a decent penalty taker (and thus scored a fair few goals), but as a Left-Mid, this isn't his job, and thus I do not feel he should be our first choice LM next season.

SLP now saying despite CAFC being confident in landing Green, eight clubs have either bid or asked to be kept informed.

He must be the most sought after player in the country right now? Would be fantastic if we beat everyone to him.

Valid point... but I can't remember seeing a technically great player since we came down to this paltry league. Hoolahan was the best of a very bad lot.

I really hope Green has pretty much agreed on a contract and all thats left is to sign the dotted line (perhaps like Hayes). I really wish he would just come back from his holiday and sign, all the increased attention is worrying me, especially considering we seem to be the lowest placed (League table wise) team who are after him.

If the choice for Danny is playing for that miserable so and so Gary Megson or our very own Chris P who seems to be trying to puta decent side together got to be a tough choice.....NOT !!!!

We must be home and dry (fingers crossed)

I'm more worried about the likes of Peterborough, Burnley and Ipswich to be honest. He'd be a fool to go to Palace.
