Charlton Athletic have signed Dagenham and Redbridge midfielder Danny Green for an undisclosed fee. The 22-year-old was highly sought-after but has opted to sign a three-year deal with the League One Addicks. Green scored 27 goals, including one in the 2010 play-off final at Wembley, in two years with the Daggers following his move from Bishops Stortford. He played for Charlton as a schoolboy and now returns to the club after scoring home and away against his new team last term. Charlton boss Chris Powell told the club's website: âI think the one big thing with Danny Green is he feels there is a bit of unfinished business so if we can benefit from that, and I think we will, he will be a very, very good signing for us.â
