Tigers Co-op are in the process of setting up a new trust in association with CTWD, it will have a new name(they're not really a co-op so can't use that name) and their constitution is out of date so we're working together with Supporters Direct to come up with a new one. It's not a five minute job, so it's going to take a while, but it's in hand. By coincidence, I spoke to our commercial manager last night and he said that we don't yet know what's going on the badge, or on the season tickets and until the FA make their decision it's obviously causing a lot of problems. I don't know for certain who the new kit supplier is, but if I was a betting man, my money would be on Umbro.
So if we remain Hull City AFC we still play a season in limbo in a shirt without a proper badge, just a Tiger, the team with no name, we are in purgatory aren't we.
It could get worse, I wouldn't be surprised if the FA reject the application on the grounds of lack of consultation and we start the whole bloody thing in a years time.
We did at the November meeting. However, that all went up in smoke after we issued the statement we'd run past the club.
As Obi has said, we have raised some things already, but we hope that in the FA reject the application, AA will give us another opportunity to put forward our ideas.
I don't think the FA give a **** about us and think our only hope is that it would set a precedent and they wouldn't want the possibility of the clubs they do care about (Man U, Liverpool etc etc) changing their names.
I think you need to draw a distinction between the FA and the Premier League, they have very different priorities and it's the FA that will be making the decision.
Do the FA have any consultation with the Premier League or the other teams that make up the Premier League at the time? Or has this been mentioned and I should go back into my Coma?
Hopefully they've asked Assem Allam what consultation with stakeholders took place as per their rules.
Just sent off my OSC voting slip which is part of the FA process. April sometime is when the dudes @ FA HQ meet.
