So this evening our group of heroes that weren't put together by Middle Eastern oil tycoons or Russian oligarchs, continue their pursuit of a place in the World Cup finals for the first time since 1958 (I'm still getting over a 17 year old Pele scoring his first World Cup finals goal against us).
It now looks extremely unlikely that we can qualify automatically but a place in the playoffs is still very much on the cards given what happened in the Nations League.
Tonight's game is tough and I can't see us doing the double over the Czechs. The challenge is of course more difficult by the absence of Gareth Bale but at least Aaron Ramsey is back to captain the team. We certainly missed him recently.
Crucial that we start well and then take advantage of any chances we create or that are given to us.
I dare say Mr Page will adopt a pragmatic in Prague approach.
Regretfully, I fear we may lose this by rwo clear goals but I'm Welsh and I live in hope.
