That's not true. Just because something is forced on you doesn't mean you necessarily accept it.
Millions of people in East Germany had Communism forced on them after the war, it didn't mean they accepted it.

    Looks like you were right:-

Hull fans staged a protest against a proposed change of the club's name to 'Hull City Tigers' ahead of the Barclays Premier League match against Norwich.

Around 40 fans with placards and a banner proclaiming "a club not a brand" marched on the KC Stadium.

Must have worked a treat then, as inside the ground several thousand people became converted by the march chanted "hullcity AFC hullcity AFC hullcity AFC'

Not one person all afternoon said or demonstrated to the effect "We're not bothered by any name change", so according to your logic that means NO ONE agrees your viewpoint.

It was a **** turn-out, it was more than 40, but it was a **** turn-out all the same.

The protest went out live on Sky, the point was made, the people who want us to be laughed at as the Hull Tigers can still probably feel smug tonight though.

    Such is life.

I'll stand up for what I believe, I'm quite happy for others to sit down to what they believe.

I'm just happy that our players seem as up for it as some of our fans are.

    City till I die...

To me and many others they will always be "City" or "the Tigers"

Let's not have another thread on this over discussed issue !

Apparently we're getting overtures from several companys, in the far east with Tiger references in their trading titles.

i'm one of those not worried about the adaptation of the clubs name (dropping AFC The ) , i'd prefer it didnt happen
but as a city supporter i will be supporting them and it.

That said to hear of such a low turnout for the protest is a bit of a shame
as there is a lot of passion thrashed about on the forums but when alls said n done
like many of us people just sat on their hands .

PERSONALLY I think it is a dig at HCC.. nothing to do with the CITY bit in it tbh.
if he'd have got his mitts on the KC, do we still think he'd have gone ahead with the name change?

It would be more to do with the timing of the march. 2:30. It should of been at 2:00

No he is stating the fact that the majority of fans are against it.When the sign was walked round the stadium you could see the vast majority applauding. Just because very few turned up for the match means jack ****.

You really are a muppet. What the **** are you talking about? Changing the name of the club has **** all to do with ambition or lack of it. The only way to OUR club will increase investment and market share IS BY BEING SUCCESSFUL on the field of play, not by ****ing around with the name of it.
