Wednesday, September 22nd 2021
Curtis Fleming has been appointed Assistant Manager
Fleming arrived at City in July to cover the absence of Paul Simpson and has been working closely with Nigel Pearson and his staff.
Keith Downing and Paul Simpson, now returned to the club after treatment for renal cell carcinoma, have been re-titled First Team Coaches.
City Manager Pearson said: “I’m really pleased to have Curtis on board permanently. He is a fantastic coach and has added another dimension to the set-up. Curtis has settled in well and we’ve seen his impact in the short time he has been with us. Everybody is looking forward to continuing the season with him.”
Fleming commented: “Everybody has been so welcoming since I arrived and I’ve enjoyed every minute so I’m very excited to continue working as assistant manager. It’s a fantastic set-up here and I’m very much looking forward to helping the team have a successful season.”
Fleming has worked at Crystal Palace, QPR and Middlesbrough and most recently managed I-League club Punjab FC before linking up with the Robins in the summer.
