Christ there's some on here who get so defensive of the club. Even when it's the captain and fan's favourite talking people turn on him if he speaks out, after all, it could be seen as questioning the owner and we can't have that. Presumably Dawson was being a greedy **** too when he was promised his new deal and then the manager was sacked and Dawson's future was put on hold and he didn't know whether to organise a testimonial or a new club. We're always funny about giving new contracts to players who deserve them.
no but if it's true that he's peed off about not getting a payrise after one season it's a bit ****ty and i hate the allams
It's a Hull City forum and people are entitled to their opinions are they not? We can't all agree on everything.
Even if he is wanting more money, is it OK for Ince and Snodgrass to take loads of money before they've done anything for us but not for Davies whose contribution has been massive? Of course not, but I'm surprised at some turning on our best player, who was a fan's favourite until today it seems, seemingly just out of a desire to carry on pretending we're a well-run club.
Maybe people are turning on him because he's a greedy **** who acts like he has a divine right to 50k a week and it's a travesty were not gushing to give it him? Maybe the paper used some clever editing to make him look worse but it ain't good reading regardless, he's said the quoted bits however it's edited and I can't see a context they could be put in that ain't just plain greedy.
No, we are not. Messi is better than Ronaldo and we should all hate Germany, anyone who disagrees should be executed for blasphemy.
Didn't Davies even say something along the lines of "Maybe it's cos I have two years left, which is fair enough I suppose." So clearly he's not entirely bothered. Was probably asked the question and answered as best he could. Strikes me as a gent from my brief time meeting him, so I doubt he'd be an utter twat in this.
Ye so the owners waited to see what the new manager wanted to do with him. Who then gave him a years money in which he basically sat on his arse and did **** all while earning 500- 750 grand. Poor poor Andy Dawson. Them Allam ****s eh
http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...urtis-Davies/story-21225009-detail/story.html "But the centre-half and his agent have now agreed to meet with chief executive Ehab Allam to try to thrash out new terms to keep him at the Tigers." He has agreed to meet with the club to decide whether he wishes to stay, wooo, how good of him is that? "The £60,000-a-week deals signed by top-earners Nikica Jelavic and Shane Long in January means Davies is currently lagging some way behind in the salary stakes. However, the £2.25m signing from Birmingham is open to extending his deal by another year if his position as City's captain is reflected in his earnings." We need a new captain and ****ish Davis should be told to GTF. imo This article is from a month ago and the latest article is almost like a begging letter. I don't care how good this lad is at football (he is very good) but anyone who thinks they are too good for Hull City should be sent packing.
I know what has been said and written. I was told by a club sauce that a meeting was to be set up between the club and Davies prior to this week to get it sorted out. Now obviously this has not happened. The club has bigger issues to deal with at the moment and it will get sorted. All this hissy fitting. Davies still has 2 years left on his contract, ffs. You are correct - you dont.
Errr, the only quote that even mentions his reasons for wanting a new deal is that he doesn't think it's long enough? And for gods sake its his job. It might be well paid at the moment but if he can get/deserves a pay rise why shouldn't he get one. Imagine if you'd been the best worker at a company for a year, and then you see some new lads come in at a much higher salary than you despite doing nothing for the company you work at. You'd want to feel valued as them and probably should be as well. Christ, some people jump on players backs so quickly it's ridiculous.
I don't think he's really arsed about the money, he just wants a longer contract so he can stay at the club for as long as possible. It's quite flattering when you think about it, I don't think he's being greedy at all, just being loyal to a club that has had quite a lot of success recently. Curtis knows we're a progressive club, he wants to be here for the foreseeable future.
Tickles mate, this sauce, was it one of those little squidgy sauces you get in KFC ? Was it ketchup, Brown ? What ? Do these sauces often talk to you ?
