Quite like a good thick sauce, as long as it's got some spice and bite to it.

But those dishes that are swimming in coconut milk with some paprika to turn it pink/red are just a waste of time.

Probably not still the case, but historically the majority of "Indian" restaurants in the UK were run by Bangladeshis

used to be a lamb madras or a lamb balti, but these days it's always butter chicken.

The whole argument about the word being "offensive" is totally pointless.
Go in any Asian food out let (eat in or take away) including Chinese and you will see many different variety's of "curry" named on the menu.
It's a name for a spicy sauce, we tend to use it in conjunction with our favourite main ingredient (Chicken, Lamb, Beef etc) but still use the type in the name (madras, Keema, Tika etc)
It's a curry ffs and everyone uses the word <doh>

My local Chinese has a great tasting Chicken Curry with Egg Fried Rice

It bears no resemblance to a Balti etc but it tastes good and its called a curry

I love chicken Ceylon. There are some great curry houses in Portsmouth, mostly run by Bangladeshis.

No surprise really, they love the sea.

I'm just amazed they haven't converted the beach into acres of paddy fields.
