Only the thing is, who is actually complaining about the use of the word curry?

It was one woman on a food blog making a facile argument, yet now it’s made the rags with a headline it’s somehow now an actual thing, you see how this works?

I’d wager I could already find comments somewhere on SM from UK based people saying ‘you can’t even say curry any more or you’re a racist’.

many dishes come from Pakistan too and the best chefs are Pakistani, certainly not Bengalis before someone makes me laff with that one…and I’m still shocked when I come across an Indian chef…very rare.

Very true The range of food and flavours are much more varied as well.

And Bengalis only know rice. Tell 'em to make a decent naan and they get confused

 

Curry wars

 

Every Indian restaurant in Milton Keynes is run by Bengalis and I never used to like "Indian" food.
Then I moved half hour south to Bedfordshire and the "Indian" restaurants here are run by Pakistani's and the food is like 10x better.
I actually like getting an "indian" now.

I like those dry dishes from Nepal and Pakistan. Food cooked in the Tandoor. Not really a big fan of those sloppy coconut milk Southern Indian dishes tbh
