Is it still the same now JWM? So many decent "character" pubs have either gone to the wall, or become theme pubs or wine bars, it's difficult to find a decent pub these days!

If ever you are up this way mate you should definately do some pubs in Cambridge. I would be glad to give you the guided tour and I'm sure Maestro would be up for it! There are still some great old pubs in the City Centre, down by the river but the best one's are the little gems in the back streets. Mill Road in particular has still got some cracking pubs what I call real pubs with snug rooms at the back and a saloon bar. You almost feel like you have taken a step back in time to the 60s and 70s in some of them. <ok>

So you must remember the old prince of wales then?

Mate it's been great to talk about some of the great places, pubs that I had some of the best times of my life in. God how I miss Cambridge just for this alone. A wonderful cosmopolitan City but with a villagey kind of feel, there is definately nowhere else like it. We must have been in the same pub at some stage back in the day! Unfortunately I am now marooned down in West Sussex but one day I will be back. <ok>

Tram depot? That's the Legal Bar Society (the replacement to the badly run Law Society) office for my uni, love it!
