I hope if it makes it past Sat they leave it open to fans with good away records!!

Despite having my ticket as an ST holder, I do feel for those who get to lots of away games but for whom home games are difficult. There's a guy I know in Manchester who works bizarre hours, but gets to every game he can. For him more than a couple of home games a year is logistically impossible. But he's been to a number of away games that are relatively local and managed the quarter final and both legs of the semi.

The club have to have criteria, and that's fine. Obviously they want to encourage both membership and home attendance. No problem with that. But it seems to me that the players and manager often tell us how much they value the away support. Maybe the club isn't fully aware how many of those fans have not travelled from Southampton.

Not knocking the club. You have to have a system. Nor am I making any appeal to fans out there. Just making the point.

Thought you were all worrying unnecessarily....there are lots of tickets and many won't be able to go because of clashing dates, infirmity, money etc.
It was the same for Inter away, people were worrying they wouldn't even reach members and in the end we didn't sell out when they went to general sale.

That is effectively what they've done, but only for home games. Being hard nosed about it, the club have no financial interest in encouraging away support. I suspect that every time I turn up at an away PL game I am costing SFC in admin costs. It's an absurdity of the current system.

Only been able to get two tickets with our season tickets - and there are three of us. Any info regarding any spares would eternally appreciated!

Agreed mate, didn't they say a few years ago they would move to points?

Ran over a 3/4 year period and something like 250 points for a ST. 2 for a big club at home, 5 for (eg.)5 wba at home. 7 for games like Norwich replay or early EFL game. Then away games rank depending on distance/day.

I haven't worked numbers out by the way just a quick way of thinking about it which would be fairest way imo.

You'll never please everyone but I feel sorry for those who do plenty of aways and not many home. Espescially non STH/members who went to Israel (who I think should have been guaranteed one.)

Where's everyone planning on going pre match?

Gonna drink round Wembley or elsewhere and take the tube?

There is a nice tea shop just off Wembley High Road. It does excellent cream teas with scones. I was thinking of meeting a few people in there and having a ruck about how to pronounce "scones" with our Northern brethren.

I was thinking of bringing my guitar and doing some busking around the Man Utd end, to entertain the poor dears while they queued to get in. Any suggestions as to what songs I could do?
