He hinted of the possibility. Think it's a case that they've been told "it could be this or could be that, we don't know yet. you'll know and be able to pass that information on to customers at the time of the announcement." Sort of thing.
I think the club should say something about all of this, I can probably get tickets from a tout but I am waiting to see what the official situation is before I shell out a load of money. Its a stupid situation people buying them from Club Wembley and touts if there are plenty available on general sale.
GCM - did you ask for that priced ticket(£56.00) or was that the cheapest or the dearest you could get?
well I will be going over the stadium tomorrow to get my youngest lad and my tickets, as we both have season cards with plenty of away match loyalty points. My problem lies with my oldest lad, who after being a season card holder from the age of four, and never missing a home game until he had to give up his card this season because he has went to Uni in Staffordshire..He has still managed to get to about 6 or 7 home games and 2 away games this season, but I'm struggling to get him a ticket. I'm seriously thinking about giving him my ticket so he can sit next to his brother, which would leave me to have to take my chances with the 3rd phase, hope that one of my many sources comes up trumps, or as a last resort, pay over the knocker for a ticket from one of these touting sites..
its what we decided on just above the wembley row, they were selling them in blocks on monday, people were re-joining the queue or ringing back, there were no £100ers left when the doors opened and loads of chancers were being turned away according to my bro-in-law who stood for three and a half hours (frozen bless tha ****er) coz they didnt have the loyalty points sorry so long winded but yes £56 were the tickets we wanted
Mine are £56 as well does that mean we'll be local? Mine are at my mums so haven't got seat numbers yet.
I think many people will be in the same situation, myself and the Mrs had season cards for years but work has meant its impossible to to the 400 miles round trip on a regular basis. We sat through a lot of **** in our time so its hard to swallow not being able to get a ticket. On the other hand they have to have some system for deciding who gets the tickets and I think what they are doing is fair. I hope you get a 3rd ticket mate, I am fairly sure there will be quite a few available, it just depends at what price. You have to think Wembley holds 90000. That means even though our allocation is smaller there will be 45000 tickets available. We only get that for the derby games and lets face it there are going to be a lot who will not be able to travel down to London and will watch it on the TV for one reason or another. Fingers crossed that everyone who wants to go can go. It helps that its not exactly a glamour tie.
Cheers mate I'm just trying to work out if I need to dust the binoculars off as I cannot apply till next week!
