Maybe it was always the intention of making the white strip the main one for FA Cup games. Cortese always has a plan.

EDIT: Besides, I do love the Brazil kit, so I'm glad it has been the main second choice.

With January approaching fast, we are going to need our cunning Cortese to be at his best! Signing a couple gems & keeping the wengers at bay.

No chance would a 17 year old left back appease the Arsenal faithful...even if they had the money.

Supposedly Cortese doesn't want the club to mix kits, so insists on wearing the full kit from one of the three.

the white kit was a waste of time and money. we may as well have kept the yellow one, its much smarter.

Not sure that Cortese would agree about waste of money...people have been buying it. I think it's smart and doesn't have to be worn only to away games. The red kit appears to be selling out, so this is an obvious move to shift the white kit as Xmas presents.

It may not be a waste of money, but people have been misled when it was promoted as our "Away Kit" and the yellow was nowhere to be seen at the time.

    Stupid decision was the kit

Don't know if you've noticed, but the yellow/blue kit is alive and well.

Just to add a further thought, the away kits are never a huge seller, but I suspect that they may have flogged a fair number of white shirts because some who wear the shirts outside of match day prefer the look of it to the red.

A kit I'd like to see make a comeback; two tone blue stripes.

If you had noticed the yellow kit was at half price when the new all red and all white kits were announced, so they were definitely not 'nowhere to be seen' They were highlighted as 'half price'.

why have a brand new away kit if we can only wear it a handful of times a year? i said we should have kept the yellow and blue one as our official away kit instead of getting the gullible fans to waste their money on a shirt that was never going to be used. what's so difficult to understand about that?

cortese is only using it for the fa cup because otherwise it'll be a complete disaster and all the fans who bought it, at the end of the year will be pissed that we've worn it like three times.

A handful? Try 'one' (Liverpool away).

Bit of a cock-up in anyone's books. The FA cup move is a desperate attempt to justify the white kit's existence. This is the problem with these marketing exercises if you don't think through the actual implications of the decision.
