Thanks for your responses. You have confirmed that the waters are muddied; deliberately so. there is no formal recognition, far from it. A member of Hull City's management team is acting in a maverick fashion to try and counter the stupidity of the owner(s). He does not invite CTWD, he invites individuals, not their appointments within CTWD. CTWD does have communication with the club, but it is not official and, as you have made clear, it is under constant threat of exposure and derision by the owners. This is not how it is being portrayed to the membership of CTWD and this board (and others). It is easy to list a meetings attendees and give them their appointments, but it is meaningless if you have to be secretive (to a point, I know) about who knows; especially if that club owner is enacting a false act of snubbing some of them. Let's get rid of the half truths and posturing and deal with it as it is. We got there, didn't we.
To be fair Fez, until April we were an organisation campaigning against the actions of our owners(or more specifically, one action) and we're not yet officially a supporters trust, so it's hardly surprising that it will take time for relations to thaw. The fact is, that we were invited to participate in the Fan Group Meetings and as officers of CTWD we could have been excluded and it's no secret we were there, James Mooney stated in his email to everyone that CTWD were invited, he knew that the details of those meetings would be publicised and the owners are well aware of what's being posted on the message boards.
Fez there is no secretiveness on the part of CTWD (or in your terms, half truths and posturing), as evidenced by the tracts of text that you quoted. You may have some past issue that you are referring to, forgive me if I've no knowledge of that. How James conducts himself in conversation about CTWD with Ehab (probably quite openly) and Assem (probably less openly, but I've no real certainty either way) is a question to address to James, not CTWD. We get invited, we go along, we get involved, we complain when promises are broken. I strongly believe that is the way officers of an organisation like ours should conduct themselves.
Why should you have that. You are only a small part of the fan base and probably a very small part of the season pass holders. I'd rather have invites go out to all the pass holders and take a broader spectrum of views. It sounds like you want to be the only people round the table with James Mooney.
CI have actually got more registered users than not606 and it's a bollocks assertion anyway, on that basis Facebook is Hull City's biggest fan group.
Understandably, there are a lot of people who are anti-name change who don't want to share a platform with some of the gobshites in CTWD.
There's only two size-able Hull City fan groups that you can become a paid up member of, CTWD and the OSC and CTWD are the bigger of the two.
Wouldn't that be better done prior to becoming one? Is there a minimum number of members required for a trust?
Eh? The trust obviously has to be formed before anyone can join it. There is no minimum number of members.
So, if the current CTWD becomes a trust, then has a vote and doesn't get a majority in favour of the trust, what happens to CTWD and would the trust just carry on with fewer members?
