The problem is, is that the pro name minority know they are losing the battle so they have nothing left but to imply CTWD are lying etc. Its just their death throes.
Whatever he decides is 100% fine with me. Whatever he decides is 100% not fine with you. He can't lose with me, and he can't win with you (and a few others like you). I realise you and your ilk are just trolling for responses, and in part I've fallen for that with this reply, but you can rub each other off all you like, at the end of the day the club will live or die on whatever Dr Allam decides, not you. You must of noticed that those of us not on your side of this are posting less and less on these threads. That's not because you've "won", it's because we see the futility of arguing about it with you, and because of my previous paragraph. Omega Man (sorry mate but I still can't think of you as that name...) posted an excellent summary of our current situation, you'd do well to read that and digest its contents.
I thought it was because you're too busy bending over and taking it up the arse from MR Allam, whilst thanking him for doing it?
Don't understand that first line...if Mr Allam came out tomorrow and said "right everyone,I've decided I'm not gonna change the name, sorry for the controversy" I think everyone who is anti-name change would be 100% fine with that...
I have been in the Merchant Navy now for 40 years and I have never heard of Allam Marine. I think they have a mostly Arab customer base which is probably why he hasn't a clue when talking to Westeners.
On a slight tangent - didn't the chairman of the Football League say he would have been pretty miffed (or words to that effect) if he was a Coventry fan (with regards to them sharing a ground in Northampton), and one columnist in the Observor then pointed out that he could have done something about it if he had wanted to. So look for actions from the relevant bodies not just words.
My brother in law works in Stamford for some generator maintenance and installation company and when he very first bought us out, he said to me "oh my mate Assem Allam has saved your club!". Now I'd just like to state, my brother in law is an engineer, and is not in fact Dr Allams mate, but he absolutely knew him, and his company, and installs and repairs generators from various companies including Allam Marine. I agree it's a pretty niche area, and know nowt about the generator market, but that doesn't mean he only sells to Arabs.
Just because you own something does not automatically mean you can do with it what you like. I own my house but can't build an extension without permission. Stately homes couldn't turn themselves into a Travelodge. Also, if I owned a house in an exclusive part of Mayfair I wouldn't be too happy if a new neighbour decided to paint it pink in the vain hope of it becoming more valuable.
Lets wait and see what also comes from Steve Brucies meeting with Allam this week. Dont be surprised if Dr Allam does back down.
Like America for example, or Australia, or Africa, or Japan, or China. Crikey, what a lot of non-EEC countries there are.
The name Allam Marine is a bit of a misnomer. Everything I've read about them suggests the have next to **** all to do with the maritime industry these days.
Steve Bruce may not have had his meeting on Tuesday. I don't expect the details of any meeting between Assem Allam and Steve Bruce to be released. No statement was made that said Steve Bruce and the OSC would be in the same meeting, just that there would be a meeting with both as far as I am aware.
I thought Allam Marine just sold unbadged generators to middlemen so they can sell on as their own.Possibly why some haven't heard of them.
Have the PL and FA actually confirmed what they define as 'consultation'? They can make whatever noises they're making, but they're still keeping their cards very close to their chests as far as I can make out. I wonder what requirements Allam has managed to pry out of them that none of us know about? Has he even been in contact with them though?
