erm the remit is for CTWD and the new trust that they do not want allams to go .. therefore pro allam ... I think you may need to rethink this and form a CTWD group ... since the name is available now
AP was a minority shareholder, he didn't want other shareholders diluting that minority interest further. Under the circumstances, I wouldn't have entertained it either.
The trust will end up like the OSC, having pub meetings in the West of Hull, asking the club if a player can grace their presence, having little raffles and fundraisers, generally kissing Allams arse. I fell for the Tigers Coop mandate the first meetings were very militant, then look what happened when AP took over, which was ok cos AP was great, but the committee fell for AP's charms and ****ed the coop up. Allam is a bastard and always will be, I want nowt to do with him, I urge people to do the same I joined CTWD because of the name change, that has not gone away but the CTWD team has sold out, shame on you
Good post that sums it up nicely. Trouble is the CTWD old guard want to move on, even though the rumblings and deception continues. They stood their ground for all of the right reasons, now they are sneaking off into the night of the Trust, a Trust that is to quickly conceived. You really do talk some ****e at times, PLT. They have made it more than clear that it is only the attitude of Allam that prevents them snuggling up - they crave it, they need it for credibility. Where have you been? Talk about now , not long-term aims, and stop talking ****e. AP looked after No.1, he should be fully investigated, as should certain HCC executives o of that era.
We're snuggling up to no-one, we don't even expect the Allam's to be the owners in a few months time.
I don't subscribe to a war with Allam that would send the wrong signals to new potential owners, but sending him to Coventry will isolate him from the fans he clearly despises, that's why I think the trust is a mistake, a trust will have to enter negotiations with the club, Allam will seize on this as appeasement and use it as a victory over the fans. Most of our fans like getting kicked in the nuts by Allam so will do his bidding, the trust will follow suit, trusts do not work, I would gamble that most CTWD members will refuse to join the trust and if they don't, scrap it
Looking at the theory behind the Hull City Supporters Trust, isn't it just a re-branding of what the Tigers Co-op was originally formed for?
I don't remember much about the Co-op, but by the sound of it yeah. We need a proper Supporters' Trust. CTWD had built something which was no longer required for the original purpose, so it's an ideal opportunity to revive the dormant trust.
Are my posts invisible to you? I am the trusts representative with the club and I don't expect Assem or Ehab Allam ever to want to meet with me, I don't expect them to be here for long after the FA reconfirm their decision. You couldn't be more wrong.
As you well know, Allam will not sell the club when the FA reconfirm their decision because there is no legitimate buyer. He said he would put the club up for sale which he has. He didn't say he would actually sell it though did he.
Actually, he went further, he said if he couldn't find a buyer he'd give it away. Obviously he says lots of things he doesn't mean and while we remain a Premier League club, there'll always be a buyer at the right price.
As you have said you are the trusts rep with the club, that means you are in contact with someone from the club who are employed by Allam, I've been there and seen it with bosses I know how they work, they are devious they will lie to get their own way. No good will come of this trust nothing will change, I am a member of CTWD, a campaign group to formed to stop the name change, Allam still wants to change the name, he is doing it by the back door, yet you and the rest of the comittee has decided to disband the very group that stand between him and the name change. I say again, shame on you, are you Sony in disguise?
It's over, the FA made their decision and they'll stick with it, we believe the arbitration process is a completely pointless exercise, but if we're wrong, then everyone involved in CTWD is still there and will continue to fight it. The Hull City Supporters Trust will continue to protect the heritage of the club, just as CTWD did.
If this name change thing did go any further, god forbid, the same people who fought it last time will fight it again. A supporters' trust needn't prevent that.
If the rumours are true he's already sold the club and the announcement should be made sometime in January. Arbitration is about the way the decision was made, not about the decision its self. Arbitration will look at whether the FA broke its own rules or the law of the land. It did neither and I full expect the process to come down in the FA's favour. Any new owners could of course stop the arbitration procedure if they wanted to.
