Great result for the team & manager......those expecting it to all end in tears, will have to wait a little longer!
Could've been worse, I missed his goal against Rovers while attempting to piss in those horrendous Dolman toilets by the Atyeo.
Surely we deserve a really big club at home in the 5th round ? Assuming Spurs and Chelsea progress tonight we would certainly get the first full house were we to draw either of them, or Arsenal, or either Manchester club at the Gate. But knowing our luck we'll get Bournemouth away and get stuffed.
A very good result indeed. So far the only non Premiership side in the Quarter Finals. Bet we get Bournemouth away.........
Just watched the Youtube higlights - what a strike by JB, absolute top draw and CODs wasnt bad either. Sako for them looked good on the highlights. Also just watched the Leeds goals - not so good, our defence seemed shy to tackle for the 1st 2 goals and cost us. We could easily have been done 5-1 on the chances in the highlights.
We shouldn't get too carried away with the good stuff and not too down on the bad. No team plays well absolutely every week, it's just doing so more often than not that's the trick! 7th place and a quarter final spot in the League Cup is good going so far - long may it continue.
I get it, a big team would be nice, but I would rather play Leicester or Bournemouth at home, good chance to get into the semi final, 100 times better
I must admit that I was rather scornful when Lee Johnson stated that it was his intention that Bristol City would be playing in the Europa League within five years. I imagined that his plan would be through promotion to the Premier League, a year of consolidation then to finish 5th .... Little did I realise he was going to fast track and now only 3 more victories v Premiership opposition, and we are there. The cleverness of his scheme is that if the results of the Carebo cup were league matches Bristol City with victories over Watford,Stoke and Brittle Palace would have 9 points would now be 14th in the Premiership and already being the top half of goals scored with only 3 games played.
Right here’s the list Arsenal Bournemouth Chelsea Leicester Man City Man Utd West Ham. In my opinion this will be our final, so let’s hope it’s a good one.
