I tend to disagree actually... whilst the on the beach comment comes into it for sure, West Brom haven't scored for something like 465 minutes and the fans are not happy a bunch. I think they'll have to do the opposite and step it up until season end. Koeman wants himself in the shop window and letting the season fall away in a whimper doesn't strike me as being like him. All opinion of course..

Being 'On the beach ' is about the players, rather than a manager. The manager might be up his own arse ...

Plus we kinda don't deserve to stay up if we can't beat them at home. I thought that before we played burnley a couple of seasons ago.......

We deserve to stay up if we are above 3 others, but the 'kinda' says you know that and I kinda agree ...

... Thought that about Burnley, too.

Recent form is all that matters at this stage and they comfortably beat Stoke and at times played Utd of the park.
Everton & West Brom have nothing to play for and wont be up the fight like Swansea are.
Sunderland are bottom for a reason.

That's absolute tosh! They didn't comfortably beat Stoke, they were very fortunate that Arnautovic missed that penalty. Even the Swansea fans said they were lucky to win that game as Stoke were on top and they believed that they'd have gone on to win it if they scored that penalty.

Man Utd should have been out of sight with the number of chances they had. They're showing a lot of gritty determination to scrape out results, but they certainly aren't a team in form.

Is there a European place for 6th? Just noticed Everton are in 7th and are just 2 points off Arsenal in 6th. Even if there's no European place, Everton must be looking at trying to finish above Arsenal (they also play each other on the last day) as an attempt to break into the top 6.

Think Europa League spots go to

League Cup winner
FA Cup winner
5th place in PL

6th and 7th place also may qualify depending on Cup winners final league position

In fact if Man U win the Europa Cup (thereby qualifying for next seasons CL) that could extend to 8th place.

Which should in theory then give teams like West Brom, Southampton etc a bit more to play for in their last few games.

Not sure that teams are that bothered about getting in the UEFA CUP nowadays.
