I think these things happen to most keepers. Mind you, we often play the ball back to Forster when he's under some sort of pressure. To some extent we've been asking for it.
Two lapses in concentration have once again, cost us. Game isn't over yet though, let's not forget that before we start slitting our wrists.
Hence why I said I thought this was our biggest game of the PL season so far. This was our chance to take a second step forward, and hopefully set us up for a great December. But right now it is as you say. And pretty much our season so far in a nutshell.
For me it's the same it's been way too often recently - not enough players attacking the box when we cross it in. It's basically just Austin in there. If we want to play a game where we aim to get the ball wide to Bertrand or Cedric, then Long has to be playing ahead of Redmond. He's far more likely to challenge for those crosses. As it is, Redmond's not going to be able to offer that much from this point onwards as Palace drop deep to defend. I'd make the sub now.
JWP and Hjoj look as flat as a pancake compared to the energy of the Everton match. In act we just look totally flat. No quality going forward and easy passes at the back. A huge improvement needed!
Ouch - just logged on - thought we were playing tomorrow and saw we are two down and both poor play by us - not sure I want to turn the TV on and watch! But I will of course... oh being a Saints Fan is tough... thankfully I have some nice red wine to ease my pain. COYR - still time to get back into it!
