For me at least a 3-1 defeat unless McLaren really surprises us with his team selection.

I don't think I'll see Gouffran at this level again tbh.

 

I think mclaren is capable of it

 

I'd go with somebody from the under 21's or even the academy before I went with the likes of Gouffran or Rivierre.

I forgot about Silvain Marveaux. He hasn't really had a fair crack whilst others have had too much opportunity.

 

He hasn't had a chance since he was our best player away at man united and then got another injury.

Marv is just another fairweatther pussy who needs shipped. Prob pull a groin after a minute.

We still carry a load whose heart is just not in the battle. We have a few nice to haves with ability, our problem is the age old guarantee in any football at any level - you have to win the right to play. Who in our squad is up for that?

 

Marveaux is in the team today. Probably on the bench though

 

My argument is based on the fact he can pass, play through balls and can take people on and looks is comfortable on the ball.

If you play him and tiote its a better balance.

Obviously tiote is out so it has to be sissoko cm because anita is hopeless.

They are all ****. I think Marv can pass, there is undoubtedly ability in there. Unfortunately though he just goes missing and we all know he will just break down.

Honestly he is a waste of space.

 

He is in terms of injury record i agree im not saying hes a long term solution but hes the type of player we need through the middle.

Sissoko is also better cm than rw and i went over the same issue with pardew until injuries made him realise then it's all happening again with mclaren.

Agree completely. We should have just bought Cabaye. Quality. Determination. Knows the league. Cheap. Knows the club. Ticked every box and we just never even tried. Beggars belief. Even without a defence we would not be in this trouble if we had him.
