Sick of being treated as a scapegoat. I make serious points, and you always ignore them because "i'm too mopey."
Champions don't always have great games. Champions grind out results when they play poorly. I haven't seen the performance but from what I heard it was dire... so? We can and will improve. 3 points is all that matters. No team plays at 100% every single game.
I actually find it more satisfying when we win playing badly than when we are smashing teams. Says more about the character of a side.
My thoughts on the game are :- We didn't play brilliantly, I thought the sending off was harsh We scored two goals We're still top of the league I'm very happy and I'm off out to the local hostilery tonight to drink copious amounts of draught bitter The missus isn't speaking to me All in all things couldn't get much better
Man Utd have done it season after season. They get praised when they play poorly and win. Now wevarevserious title contenders, we can't be expected to play well every single game. No team in any league does, and believe me, I follow most football leagues.
We are celebrating a victory. I've said it before and I'll say it again, your expectations are the issue. They are simply unrealistic. We can't play open pre-season football on a blustery day away from home, with an unsympathetic referee; nor can we hope to hold any team completely chanceless. That is why these teams have been turning us over in past years. If these teams don't want to play entertaining football, and the referee doesn't want us to play entertaining football, we grind out a result and move on. **** 'em.
I don't buy the view that we should criticise the team because they were below average today, they deserve credit for working hard and grinding out the result. To me that shows more character than winning easily every week. They had to do it the hard way today and with ten men. The mentality that criticises the team because we didn't play free flowing eye catching football doesn't understand that sometimes you just have to get the job done using no frills hard graft.
I think it's also unfair on Crystal Palace, who actually did very well to stifle Arsenal's creativity by packing the midfield with five men and closing down at every opportunity they could get. It was only when they started to push on to get the equaliser against ten men that their shape crumbled and they were vulnerable to counter attacks.
They may be serious to you, but they don't seem it to most others due to your penchant for being ridiculous and impossible to please. There comes a point when people get sick of wading through **** in order to find a £20 note, if you get me. Oh, and your current mopey sig does nothing to help your image.
Sorry Kyle but this is an accurate description of you, most people on here seem to quite like you, me included. But you do come out with a lot of **** that is wide of the mark. Take today for example, you were slagging off Ramsey again saying 'He was only good for a month' and Giroud is 'Bloody awful' and then Ramsey went set up Gnabry for the pen, then set up Giroud for the second, and your predictions came crumbling down around you a la' HIAG. It can't always be Champagne football mate, but you need to recognise when the players are working hard.
If you can't celebrate a victory because we were poor then you can't be a true fan. Victories when playing poorly is very satisfying.
I love the way Giroud just remembers in time that he's not the keeper. Brilliant save from Chez who is improving all the time.
