CRYSTAL PALACE V WATFORD
Venue : Selhurst Park
Tuesday 12th December 2017
Kick Off : 2000 GMT
Facts
All of Crystal Palace’s 10 Premier League goals this season have come at Selhurst Park. They have had 29 more shots on target at home than away (44 v 15).
Crystal Palace have won four of their last six home league matches against Watford, losing the other two.
Watford have more points (13) and the same number of goals scored (15) in eight away matches this season as in the whole of 2016/17.
Troy Deeney has scored the winner in both of the meetings between these sides at Selhurst Park, hitting both goals for Watford in a 2-1 win in February 2016 and then an own goal to hand the Eagles victory last season.
Crystal Palace are a team who have been steadily improving under manager Roy Hodgson after making the worst ever start to a season by any English club in the form of seven straight defeats to nil. They really had the chance to take all three points against Bournemouth at the weekend but a missed penalty reduced them to a single one.
Watford Team News
The club lodged an appeal with the Football Association this morning in a bid to get the first-half red card shown to Zeegelaar overturned. The Dutch left-back faces a three-match ban should the appeal be unsuccessful.
Should Zeegelaar's red card be upheld, José Holebas looks poised to start at left-back for the first time since Everton away, and Molla Wagué looks set to come onto the bench. Miguel Britos and Kiko Feminía are struggling to make the match at Selhurst Park.
"We’ll try with them," said Silva. "Britos is more difficult to play tomorrow but we'll see what happens. Kiko is a matter of days. His injury is nothing special, he has some fatigue as well. We need to be 100 per cent sure they can play."
Apart from that, Silva reports a clean bill of health from the players involved at Turf Moor on Saturday.
