    Nigel needs to make the next step carefully. He will still be able to revel in his success at Saints and Scunthorpe, but the Reading job has put a darker mark on his CV. That's ok, two dark marks starts to look unattractive. He may be better taking a league ons team up to the championship, which would really build his reputation back again.
