Definitely. I’ve seen red cards given for the slightest contact of hand to face. Wilf should have gone, no question. The other thing is that Zaha should automatically start every game on a yellow, just for being the utter twat he is.
There was a wonderful moment late on last night when Zaha finally got past him and was bearing down on the CB’s. No problem, JWP tracked back, got round the side of him and made a beautiful, clean tackle. Shame it hasn’t appeared on any highlights so far, it was a joy to behold.
And he niggles the opposition without losing his rag....note he didn't react to Zaha poking him in the eye.
Talking of the 9-0, It took until 14 mins 57 seconds into the game on NBCSports Gold to mention it this time.
Can I just say, I like Zaha? I don't like him so much when he's playing against us, obviously, but he's a great a player. And a character, always plays on the edge. Nothing wrong with that imo. That was great duel between him and JWP last night.
I hope that Cedric's injury doesn't mean that JWP is moved to RB for a while, I think he would be a big miss in the middle but is good to know that he can deputise there sporadically if needed.
I agree, we’d probably all love to have him in our side. The beef with JWP is good fun, but the vitriol towards Zaha seems a bit weird and desperate (mainly on Twitter).
I like him there too Archers but I prefer him in his natural position and I would like to see continuity at this time if possible.
Zaha doesnt seem to realise how bad his silly attitude makes him look. he's got talent but even Palace fans must find it embarassing He makes JWP seem like a master of psychological gamesmanship but JWP is simply being a professional footballer
On Sky highlights, we were said to have one of the worst defences in the league....simplistically they are correct, but really only down to one result. Take that away and our GD would be pretty good.
There are now 6 teams (SIX!) with a worse GD than ours. That’s quite a thing, considering, you know, the game that never happened.
