Now you say it does because you used to know a referee. This is beginning to sound like one those Uniturd-appointed 'Independent' panels.

I won't ask you to find me the rule that you have to stay on your feet when contact is made as you can't even find the rule for what you confidently stated as fact only an hour ago.

 

Delaney now saying "I honestly didn't make contact with him", then a few words later says "The contact was minimal and he shouldn't have gone down".

He's been taking advice from a few on these boards then.

There is no mention of contact in any of the rules regarding foul play (this has come into the game by so called pundits saying "oh yes, there was contact")
