I actually think him playing deeper is better because his first instinct when he gets the ball is to dribble and take players on from the heart of midfield. He is capable of playing excellent through balls/lofted passes like he did for Sanchez yesterday, but his decision-making in the final third generally isn't great. He'd need to develop a lot more patience and discipline to be an effective no. 10 for us and at the age of 26, that isn't going to happen at this stage of his career, in my opinion. Playing both Ramsey and Wilshere together wouldn't give us much balance in midfield, as they both love getting forward, but from the options we have at the moment, it's probably the best partnership we have (unless we get a DM in the January transfer window, which is highly unlikely). If this is what we're going to do for the rest of the season, Wenger will need to tell one of them to sit deeper. Otherwise teams will run straight through us.
