Even though this game is a bit tepid and boring to watch, Clucas looks nice and tidy and what a finish from Tammy.
I think if we can get Chadli, Bony and that Dutch RB we'll have a tidy squad. Ayew works hard but often lacks the quality to open up the opposition in this system. Chadli IMO will be a better option.
Games gone just as I thought it would, more of a guess than a calculation, so I'm a semi-happy camper. We have to keep bossing posession against this depressed Palace team, we font want to give them a sniff of hope so if that means knocking it around at the back all game then so be it. Three points is all that matters today. Seems like our season will be about Clement squeezing all he can from the threadbare squad he's got. Our style will be based on team systems and plug-ins without any major reliance or individual skill or flair. Boring I know but needs must, personally I don't care as long as we end up around mid-tabel.
Looking at this formation, the Bony of two years ago, with a creative player signed too, would slot in perfectly.
