For the long haul it's advisable to speak to someone who knows what he's doing . . . . an expert, perhaps, who has being dealing with stock markets for a lot of years, rather than just suggesting a fund type, of which there could, and probably will be many underperforming as well as overperforming funds![]()
Yep, that is my view... for the longer term 5 + years, buy a low cost tracker of a large segment of the market, even the FTSE100...when the market dips...
Then go away and forget about it.
Otherwise it can become addictive like gambling...
Or join a local investors club meet/talk about what you should do say once a month or once a quarter
