The board better think VERY carefully about their next move. Make the wrong one, and they will, by all accounts, be alienating thousands...maybe tens of thousands.

If Celtic swallow all that's happened, then that'll be the last straw for many. I wouldn't pay £49 to watch WWE at CP or Ibrox, so I'll be ****ed if I'm paying to watch the football equivalent.

It appears that the SPL/SPFL rules/regulations are inadequate given that the apparent legal position is that there is nothing within them to enable action to be taken against Rangers for the obvious cheating advantages gained by using the funds due to the taxman to bring in players they could not otherwise have afforded.

Presumably any 'review' would be expected to make recommendations to enable this situation to be dealt with in future - hopefully (if anyone needed convincing) it will also show the SPL/SPFL up for the useless arseholes they are in not having some sort of catch-all rule/s already in place to enable stripping of titles from the cheats.

No wonder Lawwell has jumped ship from this toothless shower - the SFA is where the real power lies so let's hope he's gone there to sort them out!

It's an exercise in obfuscation. A statement was expected, and required, addressing the situation of incorrect registration of players and the subsequent non-application of the associations own rules in this regard.

Trouble is they can't offer any coherent explanation for this. If they could, I'm sure they would have.

Unfortunately, if it is correct that the legal position is that there was/is nothing within the SPL/SPFL rules to enable retrospective action (stripping of titles) to be taken against the cheats then it would seem that no matter who or how many protest about it, the SPFL governing body's hands are tied as they cannot do anything which would not stand up in a court of law. The whole debacle only serves to show what a useless shower the SPFL governing body are - it now appears that new rules are in place to enable such retrospective action for future 'financial' cheating ... typically, after the horse has bolted.

The SFA, where Lawwell, has now placed himself, may be the only body who can do something although from their utterances it would seem that, legally, their hands are tied as well which again shows how useless they have been. Hopefully, they will instigate a review which will show up the inadequacies of the SPFL governing body and its rules plus make recommendations for improvement but it is highly doubtful that 'official' stripping oldco of titles can or will ever happen.

It looks to me that while the SPFL, SFA and every man and his dog recognise that the titles should have been stripped, the best that can be said by one and all is that, yes, 'their' titles should have been stripped as they were won by cheating and any claim to hold record numbers which include the cheating years, is laughable. Of course, it would be good to hear both the SPFL and the SFA actually say this loud and clear even if they can't legally take the necessary action ... I won't hold my breath though!

Do youse honestly think that David Murray, who operated the scheme on behalf of his Murray Group, would have not bought these players? The same Murray who ladened Rangers with £80m worth of debt. Murray did whatever he wanted as he had the Murray Empire at his back. The scheme was legal and administered by Murray Group incorrectly.

The liability lay with Murray until Craig Whyte decided to take the liability off his hand for one pound sterling.

Rangers did not break the law, HMRC looked at it retrospectively and decided that the staff who were paid via the Trust to avoid tax, should have paid tax.

Looking closer to our Club, Celtic.

Celtic paid Brazilian Juhinho via an EBT - the fact that they paid the tax due does not matter if we are discussing the morality of said scheme.
Celtic couldn't afford Robbie Keane and had to pay his wages via Dermond Desmort - "money they couldn't afford".

Then we look at M'well, Dundee and Hearts, all Hun teams and look how much they bumped HMRC for... fkin Hearts left everycunt penniless and were administered by an Eastern European crime syndicate by all accounts and left Lithuianain tax payers with a bust bank ffs.

Then we go with side-letters... did these make a difference to how well they played or how badly we played? We are already despised in both Poland and Switzerland after being comprehensively beaten by Legia and Sion then getting the result turned around on a technicality which had zero bearing on the results.

Sometimes I am ashamed at being a Celtic fan.

Speaking as a Hun, 'we should have been stripped of titles as we cheated by using money which should have been paid to Her Majesty's Revenue Collectors, to buy and pay the extortionate wages of players who won the tainted League titles for us. It doesnt matter whether or not Murray could have brought these players in by some other method - though I think that is pie-in-the-sky thinking. The fact is that he didnt but used the taxmans money instead.

The scheme we used was never 'legal' as such - it just took some time for the Courts to rule correctly on it and unfortunately the money of which we deprived Her Majesty's Revenue Collectors has still not and is unlikely ever to be paid back.

We have been fortunate that the incompetency of both the SPL/SPFL and SFL has meant that there appears to be nothing in their rules which can legally enforce action to strip us of those tainted titles but even if this is the case, we cannot legitimately claim them as we should be ashamed of the cheating way in which they were obtained.

We arra people ... or we should be but after cheating Her Majesty's Revenue Collectors, I'm no so sure.'

It was not illegal you thick orange bastard. It was declared in every years accounts and if it was illegal then someone at Castle Greyskull would be in the pokey.

HMRC nor the Supreme Court have said what Murray did as custodian of RFC was illegal nor did they rule that the tax avoidance was illegal so stick to Spick law you Spanish Hun ****.

SJ - again speaking as a Hun: 'I must apologise for some of my so-called 'colleagues' who continue to bury their thick skulls in the sand. As anyone with half a brain cell knows, the courts recently ruled in Her Majesty's Revenue Collectors' favour - thus confirming the fact that the scheme as we used it, was not 'legal' as such ie that tax should have been paid on it. Instead, Murray surreptitiously and deceitfully used the unpaid tax to fund the players who won the tainted league titles and as we Huns who possess at least half that necessary brain cell well know, those titles should have been stripped from us and we cannot legitimately claim them after cheating not only the taxman but all the other clubs in the SPL/SPFL.

It appears that the SPFL have now changed their rules to ensure that such 'financial' cheating in future will result in title-stripping which also goes to prove that had these rules already been in place, our tainted titles would have been stripped from us - so in order to maintain our world famous dignity, we should surrender them.


We arra people ... who stole from Her Majesty's Revenue Collectors'
