I have a request. Quite a serious one.

On occasion we get a cross thread from out friends on the GC. It's usually something we don't want to read and are collectively not interested in. We understandably react and feed the fire.

They are at the moment being quite "Mope" like and asking to left alone and to be allowed to post what they want. I don't necessarily agree with what is posted on there.

My request is that if a GC cross thread appears I would like every member of this board to ignore it.

As always it is not for me to tell you what to do, so it is just a request.

Got to agree with the OP here, the GC 'mopes' post controversial ****e on our board with cross-thread articles waiting for a bite.

If we ignore them they'll get bored and **** off.

I direct order from a Mod - this must be serious <yikes>

Yes sir, yes sir <ok>

I agree though - 95% of them are ****s (not that I know them personally, so that's only my assumption!). Hash is one of those 95% <ok> <laugh>

I pop on there from time to time to see what's going on - but cross board threads are ****e, especially for some of our more serious users that come on here to strictly talk football.

I won't be getting involved in any cross board threads with those inbreds - they'll just end up Skylarked <yikes>

I hardly ever look at GC and have never contributed to it (except maybe unwittingly on a cross thread).
I like some serious footie talk but am quite happy to talk about any subject with or without a bit of banter.
To me, the abuse (often with real venom in it, it seems) that comes across on some cross threads is not banter, but genuine hostility- and I'm not interested in being a part of that.
I spoke against cross threads initially and I stand by that- they're more bad than good imo.
On match days, it would be quite simple to go to the other teams board and invite them over to join in on our match thread, or vice versa.

Up steps the old wise one.

<applause>

P.S. did you manage to find your mittens?

Good stuff if we all ignore the GC cross threads then they will get bored and move on.

Agreed <ok> I do my best to ignore all apart from the manure banter thread but admit I do get hooked sometimes especially after a few scoops <whistle>

Can we still cross thread to the spurs board? Some of the abuse on there is worse than GC!
