What a great player shame he did not make it at Premiership level but hopefully he does well for Brighton again, he should be vital for them.
Any views on the fee? I'm guessing he must have had 1 yr left on his contract if we signed him in summer 10, so £300-500k?
In reality one of our stepping stone players that have helped us get where we are but we need to replace to step up again. Great pro and thank you but we are looking like a serious outfit now.
In a way a bit of a shame he has to be moved on although I did predict he would be one of the first to leave us this summer. For all his effort and commitment last season he didn't show quite enough to be considered indispensable. His goal at Barnsley led me to consuming an additional bottle of Leo that evening, so I thank him for that also I reckon one more is likely to leave (sold, not loaned out) in the next week or two with one more coming in (bought, not loaned in)
Good guy, just a tad out of his depth! But what was the point of playing him Tuesday night if he was going to be sold? We weren't told he was leaving so it wasn't for a send off from the fans. ILD OTBC
