Off Topic Crime

****ing hell - worst that happened to anyone I knew from my school days was one got 2 years for taking a traffic wardens camera after he was taking pictures of him.

Didn't touch the warder otherwise and gave the camera back but he "stole government property" and got 1/3 or a sentence that a rapist got.

Two years for taking a poxy camera? Absolute joke, mate, system's a sham.

Just dug up the BBC article on what I wrote about, Jason was the one I went school with, he's in the middle of the pic:

Girl's life is ruined, was in a coma following the attack, permanently disfigured and the biggest sentence they gave to one of them was 9 years - and probably only served about 4-5 years. Absolute joke. 20 wouldn't have been long enough for those pricks.

I live in Edmonton, 100 yards south and I'm in Tottenham. Everything goes on around here.

Stabbings, gang warfare, muggings, fights, prostitution. Hear sirens near enough every night but the saddest thing is you get used too it.

One of my old primary school friends - ashamed I once called him a friend - was involved in a horrific acid and rape attack on a girl about 10 years ago. He and his mates took her to a block of flats, raped her multiple times and then poured acid over her to try removing any evidence. It got nationwide attention, though I only found out he was part of it because a girl from our primary found me on social media and told me all about it. Couldn't believe it at the time, was one of the quietest guys in our class yet turned into a ****ing cretinous ****. He only got 6 years for it so will have been out for a while, especially as our system is so ****ed most only end up doing half their sentence.
Why live there, ****ing toilet. So glad I left London.

Used to live in a small hamlet on the river Kennet we had no crime of such be when the traffic lights changed on Wednesday’s that was the talking point.

Was this crime a shop robbery? If it was, I doubt it was alcohol related tbf.

Attempts to hold up corner shops armed with a kitchen knife and an air pistol are quite likely to be crack related, true.

But the general point holds. I was told by a friend who worked on the rehab (what a joke that is) dept at Pentonville Prison that half the inmates were so drunk when they committed their crimes that they couldn’t even remember what they had done.

The stats are enough to back up what you say as correct. Alcohol also kills thousands more than all other drugs combined.

I'm aware that more crime is alcohol related, but my point is that, as this is a shop robbery, it's probably drug related.

You can throw suicide, murder and car crashes to all other drugs too and alcohol still contributes to more deaths...

Yet it's legal and weed is illegal o_O

That's how ****ed our society is.

Yep, studies have also shown that in its purest form and used correctly, then heroin is no more dangerous for the human body than sugar.

I know you didn't. I commented on the topic of the thread, which was a shop robbery apparently.

It was indeed a shop.. I had to use somewhere different yesterday.

Not much info coming out from the media. But seems he was a ****ing druggie from a doss house.
