Remember this guy?

A British teenager who was jailed in Dubai for having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl has died in a car crash three months after he was released.

Marcus Fakana, 19, was a passenger in a vehicle that crashed in Tottenham, north London, in the early hours of Friday. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries and later died.

The Met Police said officers had attempted to stop a car but, after a 60-second chase, they lost sight of the vehicle and it was later found crashed into a truck.

Mr Fakana, who was 18 at the time of the relationship with the girl, received a royal pardon from Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in July after being sentenced to one year in prison.

Wow yeah I remember him, fate certainly had his number.

Young kid who obviously didn’t heed his second chance after what he’d been through. Shame.

Yeah, just been reading the story, he was a passenger and the 19 year old driver had no insurance, no licence, you know the drill.

Disgraceful and hopefully the culprits are caught and dealt lengthy sentences...

A mosque in East Sussex has been damaged in a suspected arson attack, which police are investigating as a hate crime.
Fire crews were called to the mosque on Phyllis Avenue in Peacehaven at about 21:50 BST on Saturday.

While no-one was injured in the incident, the front entrance of the building and a vehicle parked outside were damaged, Sussex Police said in a statement.
"We understand the concerns this has caused within the community, and the impact that will be felt by the Muslim community as a result," Det Supt Karrie Bohanna said.

"There is already an increased police presence at the scene and there are also additional patrols taking place to provide reassurance at other places of worship across the county."

A volunteer at the mosque, who asked not to be named, told the BBC that two people tried to enter through the front door, only to find it locked.

They then poured a liquid at the entrance and near a car parked outside, which was set alight, the volunteer said.
"It could have been murder," the man said, adding that two people inside the mosque managed to escape.

It's a worrying escalation - places of worship being targeted. Pretty disgusting.

Just seen they've got some decent CCTV footage of the individuals, obviously their faces were masked, but there will be identifying marks in type of clothing, build of individuals, and any local footage via dashcams or doorbells, that will have tracked their movements to and from the scene. I'm sure it will all eventually lead to the culprits. Hopefully a few doors will be getting kicked in soon by the old bill.

Oh ffs. Shocking.

Another escalation. I thought this would happen at some point. It’s about time this was de-escalated now and that has to start with these Saturday protests stopping. They’ve made their point (whatever the **** that is), it’s just infuriating people and whipping up hatred now.

I’ll say it again. All of this is over something that has **** all to do with any of us.
