I just watched the clip on Twitter, he knocked three coppers spark out, breaking the nose of one, I will look forward to Keir being enraged by this injustice.

Shocking really whatever any provocation was, I always assumed you are going down if you clout just one copper, this sends out completely the wrong message for anyone to do this and take your chances with the jury.

I certainly wouldn't want to be a copper knowing this is the sort of protection you get from the courts.

Be interested to see if any of the jurors step forward to speak to the media - doubt it though. They can't talk about what happened in the deliberation room but they can speak about anything that was already in the domain of open the court room. You can't discuss other juror members or their opinions. But the media would know what can and can't be said. Wonder what the police woman who had her nose busted thinks of all this, I suppose a private prosecution is an option, but that can only happen if the prosecution in this case allow it.

Having looked through a few articles one question I thought was where is the bodycam footage, they always release that footage when arresting someone, there's even a petition on change . org about it, I suspect the counter argument would be because it shows a dying man, but at least release the footage leading up to before the cuffs were put on, so people can better gauge the situation, if you really want to be open about this case. I think not showing what the officers saw on arrival does not help or support their own colleagues version of events.

ah it's not as b ad as it stands as the headbutt one has already been found guilty of assaulting 2 female officers and a Starbucks customer so i assume this related to the male officer who booted the **** and i assume will end up losing his job since it was a very public incident .

My mate is a copper and you’d never guess. Mild-mannered, shy guy and he’s fuming about this. If the copper gets the sack I reckon they’d give themselves a huge problem. The brother isn’t not guilty so I doubt any sort of punishment is necessary for him let alone the sack.

oh all cops will be fuming but it a clear breach of the standards and was so public

My mate is an ex cop and it's a good job he retired before every tosser in the country decided to start filming everything :bandit:

Yeah after seeing the CPS stuff I realised they are being done, or as you say one has already been found guilty, very confusing unless you see the full details laid out like that. It does help when they give information out.

Now digressing to that other case, any chance the cops can release the bodycam footage upto where the cops handcuffed that guy over the racism incident, who was actually dying. I know they wouldn't be able to show it all, but it would help if we could see their cam footage of what the scene was like on arrival, and try to understand why they cuffed this lad.

Yeah that one won’t go away quietly. Injured enough that the police acting quicker wouldn’t have possibly saved his life but not injured enough to avoid handcuffing him and doing nothing for a few minutes. There’ll be more to come on it I’m sure.

You can take a kirpan into Wembley stadium but try and sneak a bottle of water in and you’ll be bummed to death by a team of stewards. Without everything being a culture war I think it’s reasonable to ban them when Sikhs could carry something symbolic instead.

This time last year, as it happens, I was in Montpellier, about 400 miles south of Paris. Every other punter on the streets of Montpellier was wearing a PSG shirt. And the club presumably get a cut of every shirt that gets sold.

Unreal the speed they were doing, only ever seen one case like this before and it happened in America, where a driver shot a junction at breakneck speed and the other car exploded on impact.

Trouble is young men don't realise the dangers nor think of the consequences of such actions.

I think it was the driver that said that his dad is going to be mad with him, so clearly discipline and parental authority there, but young minds do wild things sometimes.

A tragedy they will have a lot of time to mull over inside. As for the other driver, fate had him in the wrong place at the wrong time, sad.
