It's a hard one to gauge but I do agree they should be treated equally, if the other guy hadn't of had the knife I could have understood, so don't know without knowing the police reasoning behind these decisions. But I'll have guess...you can be imprisoned if you are a danger to yourself, so I'm going to guess the guy burning the Quran has issues - so he'll have to spend the weekend inside and then the magistrates will decide where to go from there. Yes you could also argue the guy with the knife is a danger to the public, so again I can only guess the one kept inside has history. Other than that, yeah I'm at a loss so, two tier kier

The justice system is ****ed. They jail people for growing and selling spliff, for non payment of fines, council tax, benefit fraud but violent ****ers, wife beating scum, rapists, child abusers and *****philes often get minor jail terms or parole. This just follows that pattern.
