Good, utter scumbag. I was reading this article yesterday which was about a brother and sister in their 40's who broke into this elderly mans home to rob him, but he put up a fight and ended up getting stabbed - anyway he had a cam doorbell system, which the crooks didn't seem bothered about. Well the sister of the two, had a long criminal record it turned out, and when they fed the cam doorbell footage to a facial recognition system, hey presto her pictures pops up from the criminal data base, didn't even know facial recognition could do that, always just wrongly assumed it had to be a live subject. Anyhow they couldn't find the brother but they knew the reg of the car that he made his getaway in, so they put that through an ANPR system, and it took them straight to the Premier Inn he was hiding at lol. Fooking clever stuff all this technology.
The soldier that was stabbed up in Gillingham has been discharged from hospital, no word on any longer term consequences. The guy that stabbed him is due to stand trial in January.
Just read on the BBC website, 3 confirmed dead and many more wounded and the attacker is still at large World has gone mad
Looking at the news this morning, seems they've not caught him which is unusual, just hope he's topped himself before the individual inflicts more misery.
Considering how many knives are available, how many events happen every single day with many people and how many millions of people live in Europe. I'm gonna say it's extremely impressive that this stuff is, actually, rare. There are thousands and thousands of events happening across the entire continent with lacks security procedures, not even basic pat downs, and nothing happens. 90%+ of people are completely normal and sane.
Early 2000's a neighbour was some kind of anti terrorism officer, he told me the three most watched places in the UK att were, Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament and Old Trafford.
Because most people are sound and don't even think about this stuff, it's only a handful of complete ****ing nutters.
SKY News are reporting that 'Amaq News says the Islamic State claims responsibility for the knife attack at a festival in Germany' I have seen additional comments on twitter but I can't verify them or the source, making claims to the reason for the attack.
In relation to the 15 year old boy arrested by German police, the police have wanted to make it clear, he is only currently arrested for having advance knowledge of the planned attack and not reporting it.
Lol who are they charging for manslaughter cos the wind blew over a Yacht? If it weren't some super rich bloke they wouldn't give a flying ****.
Ships/boats go down all the time and nobody hears about them, put some Billionair on one and somebody has to pay
Actually reporting on the press conference with the Italian coast guard. Genuinely saying on one hand that it was probably wind, but there was "likely offences" so it might be manslaughter? This is getting as much coverage as the Costa Concordia sinking ffs
Any prosecution would probably be around maritime law and if they can prove any negligence. Yes the wind keeled it over, but it will probably centre around what actions did the ships captain take in knowledge of the incoming storm, and where was everyone situated on the ship in event of emergency. All assumptions on my part, but we have heard the ships makers already make reference to why were they in their cabins (if they were). Also if it was anchored is that procedure, because that means they are stuck where they are and would not have time to try and avert danger, again all assumptions on my part. Then they will look at the design of the ship and the use of the keel on the boat and probably that in relation to the size of the mast (again potential liability). Yup way too much coverage, but manslaughter yeah I can see how that could come about, you'd be asking questions if it was your loved ones on that ship, like anyone else would surely? Saying oh it was just the wind is laughable (this is 2024, where there is blame there is a claim). I'm not attaching blame to anyone btw, just saying and asking questions others might ask.
